rainy day

Soft tears trickle down the sunset facing window.
This old town must know I will soon be leaving –
or perhaps it is the perennial pattern of June’s gloom.
Whichever, my heart is content.

behind the scenes

It was a rainy day in June, the same month I was moving from the town where I lived for several years.  There was a sadness in the air, but also an acceptance and joy.  That is what these few words are about.

  1. Love it!

  2. I really enjoy your poetry! Brings up visuals for me and makes me ponder….excellent photos too, by the way.

    • Thank you so much! I still remember this day sitting by my front window and enjoying the scenery that I knew I would soon be leaving. Do you have any little notes you’ve written down when a particular scene is emotional for you?

Zachary’s photography is beautiful. I can’t seem to get enough of his work and always beg for more!
